"Mul-Hasadeh" (literally: "in front of the field") is a cafe-restaurant on the outskirts of Hod-Hasharon. There are indeed the remains of an agricultural area, with a field stretching between the restaurant and the near-by apartment blocks of Hod-Hasharon, and the further away apartment blocks of Kfar Saba. So, not quite rural, but still a nice outdoor place to sit and have a light meal or a drink with friends or family.
The food is the usual choice ("Israeli-Italian style"); our toast with cheese and aubergines was ok, and so was the chocolate soufflet. The apple cider with wine did not contain a lot of wine and was warm but not hot, however the waiter readily had it heated to our request.
The service was good and friendly.
The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed; there is a nice playground for families with children, which generally keeps children (and parents) happy for some time.
In Hod Hasharon, in a small street lies a small cozy pub, the Agnes pub.
Live bands on saturday nights, rock-jazz-blues mixture in the others... This place is packed in the weekends so make sure you come early.
Small interior and a small back yard (heated during the winter), good food and great atmosphire makes this place somewhat a "neighborhood" pub, with the crowd keep on coming back.
YOU WILL FIND IT IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY A JAZZ NIGHT AND LIVE MUSIC , ITS VERY NICE TO SEE THE LOCAL GUYS AND TO ENJOY A SMALL ISRAELI BAR THAT YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANY WHERE .
