The Raanana amphitheater has become a venue for first class performers from Israel and abroad. During spring, summer and fall many open-air concerts are held here, in the spacious theater at the far end of the Raanana Park.
The acoustic shell provides good acoustics, and there is seating on the semi-circular stone benches and further uphill on the grass (bring your own chair or blankets).
Twice a year there are free concerts for the citizens of Raanana, with the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and a variety of Israeli singers.
The Raanana Symphonette Orchestra is a small-size symphony orchestra, which holds concerts in the Performing Arts Center in Raanana throughout the concert season. It is supported by the Raanana Municipality. It is composed of local Israeli talents and also many immigrant musicians from the ex-Soviet-Union.
There are regular concert series for subscribers, and several other programs including recitals and vocal music.
The repertoire is varied, and there are many guest performers from all over the world.
Before most concerts there is an introductory lecture in Hebrew. The language of music, however, is international, and will make a pleasant and interesting evening for every visitor who is a classical music lover.
