how to go there
Raanana is 18km north of Tel Aviv, 5km NE of Herzliya and 4km west of Kfar Saba
We used bus 47 to/from Tel Aviv (single ticket for 10,40NIS), we took the bus at Ahuza street and got off near the town hall in Tel Aviv.
You can also use #501 and #502 that terminate at Tel Aviv central bus station.
Buses #947, #950 were the one we used to/from Jerusalem, both of them stop at Raanana Junction (on their way from the north) and terminate at the central bus station in Jerusalem (single ticket for 24NIS, the ride takes anywhere between 65-90’ depending on the traffic!)
To/from Herzliya we used bus #29 (one way ticket 6,60NIS)
how to move around
Although a small town it’s not easy to walk everywhere but you can move along the main street Ahuza (east-west) that splits the town in two by taking the local bus #29. This bus is very convenient as there are many stops along Ahuza street and then you can just walk for 10’-20’ to anywhere north or south.
On the west end of Ahuza is Ra’anana Park while on the east end of Ahuza is the central bus station (Ra’anana Junction)
