Located in the relatively new biotech park in Rehovot, Flora is one of the few hangouts in Rehovot that plays Hip Hop and Rap music. Drinks and food are on the menu though most people come for the music and drinks. I personally thought that the house DJ wasn't that good, and played lots of older rap songs which revealed to me that he might have a limited knowledge of current popular Hip Hop music. The layout of the place was good though (smoking, like most places in Israel is still permitted inside despite the law being otherwise).

Even before going in, you can tell that "the Dublin" as they call it in Rehovot is a special experience. I had never tried it until last year because I had this notion in my head that you must be 25 to enter but that is wrong. The entrance age is 21. From the outside the pub stands out because it really looks like an Irish pub. Definently a little out of place in the Middle East.
Once you get inside the feeling is much like a new Irish pub. Definently does not have that old classic Irish feel. The only major difference between this Irish pub and a pub in Ireland is that smoking is not yet banned in pubs in Israel so it can be a bit bothersome to those who don't smoke and are health conscious.
The menu features a lot of spirits and wines. The beer selection is better than most Israeli pubs but definently not the best selection I have seen. There are large plasma televisions scattered around the pub and it makes it great to watch a football match there. Overall the experience is great and I recomend this place to everyone as a great night activity in Rehovot.

This is currently the hottest pub in the city centre, well, not surprising, as there are not too many pubs anyhow, but at list its good to have one real good pub with good selection of beers, including from Belgium and Ireland.

Good service...a little pricey I thought, but comparable to what I paid in Tel Aviv for a Stella Artois....

Rehovot is the location of the Weizmann Institute of Science. We spent a few days at the guesthouse at the Institute. The grounds are a park-like oasis of greenery.
