Good service in a nicely laid out and pleasant setting. Staff is helpful in answering questions you have about any of the food items you are unfamiliar with. Background music is nice and at a level that lets you enjoy the company of a companion without having to shout.
They also have restaurants in Tel-Aviv, Herzliya and Ramat HaHayal.
Favorite Dish: Mose's Hamburger, excellent beef hamburger with all the toppings. Had an extra side dish of onion rings which made it all the better.

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant for several reasons. First of all the interior is pleasantly done with several tiers of seats, beginning from the entrance to the lowest where the bar is located. They specialize in meat here and they age their meat at 4C for a week before serving, this tenderizes the meat perfectly. Another reason we enjoyed this place was when the manager of the restaurant heard us asking questions of our waiter, he introduced himself and asked if he could help. He sat with us for about 15 minutes literally giving us a course in meat preperation, from the cuts they use and why, to the way they age the meat and cook it.
They are also knowledgeable about wines and have a a very good selection although the prices for a bottle of wine are pretty high as compared to what it costs off the shelf in a wine shop.
As you can see from Zohara's photo they have booths, as well as seats, which can be quite comfortable to spend some lounging time in while you are waiting for your meal.
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed the Entrecote steak, slightly more expensive than normal, but worth the extra for the very good cut of meat.
Zohara had the Sinta (not familiar with this cut in English, sorry).
We both enjoyed the meat and the protions were okay..about 350 grams or even more for my Entrecote.

Beautifully decorated in a dark style, with a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. The smoking and NON-smoking are well seperated.
Favorite Dish: I had the shrimp and it was excellent with a side dish of green salad...

This is a popular stop for young adults in Rishon after a night of partying. They have a great selection of middle eastern baked goods as well as a really cool taboun (clay oven) which they use to bake stuff. Definently worth a stop if you are in the industrial zone.

This place is probably the most posh Israeli/Middle Eastern grill that I have ever been to, but I was wholly unimpressed with the quality of the food and would tell people that their are similar places to eat with no expensive decor and a nice atmosphere. There is nothing wrong with this restaurant, it is really fine. I just thought as a local boy that this was more expensive than usual and that you have many places like this that are good if not better. They also charged us for security which is illegal to do in Israel unless they tell you before hand.

Tavlina HaKfar is full of smells and tastes of the middle east and Europe also..you can find mixtures made by the owner Tzvika or you can go for standard spices or dried fruits or even special chocolate to make your own at home.
Favorite Dish: There is also a small "bar" at the back of the store where you can have a hot drink of coffee, fresh ground from the beans or even a chocolatae, a chocolate drink that is so thick and sweet that the spoon stands up in it...Just ask for Tzvika and say "Shalom Tzvika, what would YOU recommend", he will look you in the eye and tell the bartender there, "give them a ......" and he will most likely be correct ^O^
