This was so unespected. I and my car suddenly got a drive to western Galilee to a garage at Kfar Yassif. What an adventure!

This mile stone was found in 1952 close to Kibbutz Sde Eliayhu. It is from the year 213 common era, and it states the fifth mile from Scitopolis (Bet Shean) to Neapolis (Nablus). 1 Roman mile was 1481 meters.

Not to be missed while in Bet Shean: stop by the Youth Hostel to admire bottle trees at the entrance. Just don't try to hug them! They are very spiky!

On 29.5.2006 I had a chance to visit the Bio-Bee factory that produces and implements bumblebees for natural pollination and natural enemies for biological pest control.
I am a hobby entomologist and enjoyed every moment of the visit. See their website below for more information.
