HaMayyan (the Spring, in Hebrew) is a small family owned and run restaurant in the Galilee village of Kfar Cana (where the Church of the Wedding is located, you know where Jesus made wine out of water)....Now while they cannot make wine out of water here at HaMayyan, then can and DO make some excellent Arabic dishes. The restaurant is simple with no fancy trappings or plush chairs, but all the food was fresh and in abundance. You can choose several types of spitted meats done on the grills along with the local salads. All of our group thoroughly enjoyed everything served us.

Favorite Dish: The Hummus and the Masbacha were both superb, would go there again JUST for those. The small plates of salads, which included many types, were always being filled again, especially those they saw that we were wolfing down. We also ordered several types of spitted meats, lamb, chicken, sausage and hearts, all were very good.
And the very best thing of course was the price tag, only 50 NIS (about US$10) for each person, a REAL BARGIN.
