    how to go there

by mindcrime Written Mar 29, 2014

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Nazareth is 105km NE of Tel Aviv, 45km SE of Haifa, 146km N of Jerusalem, 32km W of Tiberias

    By car
We drove to Nazareth from Tel Aviv, most part was pretty easy but there was a lot of traffic after Cana.
Parking was quite difficult in Nazareth but we were lucky enough to be there when someone just left and took his place outside of a store not far from the greek orthodox church so we could walk to any attraction in the center.

    By bus
Nazareth is well connected with other Israeli cities, 823 and 826 from Tel Aviv New Central Station (2hours), bus 955 from Jerusalem while from from Haifa Merkaz Hashmona(60’) you can take bus 331 (even on Sabbath but Haifa is an exception in general)

    how to move around

We parked in the center and then just walked around. Although there are some local buses we had no problem to easily reach main attraction on foot.

Don’t even think to drive around the small winding streets that often lead to dead end, what’s more the traffic is heavy so find a free parking space and enjoy the town.

    Tour Buses and vans

by machomikemd Written Sep 4, 2013

Most Tourist and Christian Pilgrims stay in Nazareth hotels and make this city the base for the North Israel and Galilee Tours and Pilgrimage to various areas like Capernaum, Sea of Galilee, Kinneret, Mount Tabor, Kafr Cana, Mount Carmel etc. they ride the big tour buses or the private tour vans of Israeli Tour companies to tour these sites and then go back to Nazareth to to spend the night at their hotels. after spending a few days at northern Israel, then then go south to Jerusalem and Bethlehem and then to egypt for the rest of their pilgrimage.

    How to get to Nazareth

    by Kuznetsov_Sergey Updated Apr 23, 2010

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Nazareth is about 100 km from Tel Aviv, 70 km from Netania, 25 kilometers from the Sea of Galilee and about 9 kilometers west from Mount Tabor. We reached it from Tel Aviv by a tourist bus for 3 hours with a stop in Netania.
Nazareth is nestled in a natural bowl which reaches from 320 m above sea level to the crest of the hills about 490 m. The Nazareth Range, in which the town lies, is the southernmost of several parallel east-west hill ranges that characterize the elevated tableau of Lower Galilee.

nazareth, the place where jesus lived as a child;the problem is that nazareth was on no map during the life of jesus, maybe HA-NASRI(the holy, which is devoted to god)was the name of jesus and not HA-NOTZRI(who lives in nazareth);notice that in hebrew nazareth is:natzeret,in arabic:al-nassra
