Shatiach and Babies (well
camouflaged)
by Trillian2005 K8, like most Israeli towns, is full of street and garden cats. You can find the official description of the Garden Cat (Felis gardenius) here. The Garden Cat is the predominant species in K8. This species is famous for the most beautiful night time serenades, performed with fully trained opera voices and often with a great deal of drama. Concerts take place throughout the year and the audience wholeheartedly enjoys this free musical performance, including the results several months later...tiny, softly meowing (already practising for upcoming concerts), furry Shatiachs (or whatever each little vocal artist is called).
Shatiach is a tortoise shell cat that lives in the garden of the Café Haiamisa. Her name means "carpet" in Hebrew. This is both her real and her stage name. I had the honor of naming her because her colors and pattern reminded me of a carpet that my parents used to keep in our living-room when I was a kid. I would have preferred to keep a cat.
Informal. Attire matching Shatiach's outfit not necessarily required.
Sweet Shatiach had an accident a couple of month ago, she was hit by a car and she only has three and a half legs now. But she is still beautiful, adorable, and very sweet and loving. She has the most wonderful low meow and a caring personality. That's why she has no shortage of music fans, admirers, and boy-friends. In early May she had three super sweet kittens - an OC (orange cat), a Calico and a Little Shatiach. Mr. haiamisa, a history expert, named them Nebuchadnezzar, Sargon, and Sanheriv. Leave a Comment
