Forest /bush fires start easily here in summer when we don't have rain for many months. In these pictures you can see the mountain behind my house burning.... but not burning because of a cigarette or something like that... a rocket (katjusha) fell here during the war with Hizbollah (in Lebanon) in July 2006... Menara Cliff is a fantastic observation point near Kiriat Shemona. As its name indicates, it is located on a cliff from where you have a fascinating view of Kiriat Shemona and the surrounding scenery, including the mountains bordering Lebanon and Syria. You can reach Menara Cliff via car or cable car and enjoy the view from above. Please don't lean over the fence at the edge of the cliff!
