Tiberias has this easily located gear shop carrying shoes and packs and other hiker incidentals such as stoves and repair stuffs.
What to buy: I'm partial to the Israeli made packs KAL-GAV. The one I'm using now has had some tough service going through airport handling a number of times, two years of guide school and countless all day hikes. It's better than Lowe and one third the price.
