We were looking for somewhere to eat near Beit-Shemesh, and my daughter's boyfriend said "Tavlin" was the place for us. And he was right.
The restaurant is tucked away from the main road (Route 38), on the edge of the Eshtaol forest, in the heart of a spice farm.
The spicy scents were everywhere. We felt close to nature, and the ambience was exactly what we were looking for. The food was good and we could savor the locally-grown spices. The waiters were young and friendly.
When we finished our meal we visited the adjoining spice shop, which had every imaginable spice from all corners of the globe.
We will definitely eat there again.
