Sakura: Best Sushi in Israel
This is widely seen as the best sushi place in Israel. It is reasonably priced, but not cheap. I know a few people who have travelled a lot who say it is the best Sushi they ever had. I have been to trendy Sushi bars in New York and Washington DC and this really is my favorite of them all. I love their chicked skewers too, with a side of rice. It is a very small and modest looking place but the food is great.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Yakitori Skewers, very good with a bowl of rice. And all ofthe Sushi of course. And you have to try the chocolate mousse!

I don't remember it's name, but I do remember the place. When you walk into the Old city of Jerusalem through Jaffagate, you will see when you passed a small street a breakfast and lunch restaurant on your left hand. This is a great restaurant. The people are nice and the omelets and fruitjuices are really tasty!
It's in the old city, the breakfast is yummy and you can look at the Jaffagate.
Favorite Dish: Orange juice, a fluffy omelet with toast and mint tea when you finish breakfast.

Not necessarily my favorite, but interesting was the Elvis Inn. Nothing like being in Jerusalem and seeing a 25 ft. statue of Elvis.
Do you know they had pigeon on the menu? Who eats pigeon? Tastes like chicken?

restaurant are divided into two types, kosher and non kosher. those that are kosher have eiter meat or dairy menus and are closed during the shabbat (friday evenin till Saturday evening), those that are not kosher have both according to their preferences.
Favorite Dish: pastas and steaks accordiing to the type of the restaurant
Rimon Cafe: Very good Dairy based restaurant
A very pleasant restaurant/cafe in Jerusalem, Dairy based food only.
Had a lovely meal here with a local VT member
Favorite Dish: Quiche
I rather avoid the trade mark fast food while in Jerusalem as you can have those all over the world. The local falafel and kebab are good enough as a snack or even as full meal sometimes.
Village Green: Self- Service Vegetarian Restaurant
Homely food. Rich variety, good pies, soups and cakes.
10 minutes by foot from Jaffa Gate.

Pitta im Zatar
Whenever in the Jewish Quarter, you better choose a pitta with zatar and labaneh from this bacery then from the other too touristy pizza and felafel places. It is close to the Cardo.

Four Seasons: Oriental Restaurant with Tasty Ice-Cream
I like the ice-cream they serve, especially sorbet [fruits]. You feel real fruits.
Cost is only 6 Shekels for 2 balls.
Arcadia: Best Restaurant in Israel?
The best (and probably most expensive...) restaurant in Israel. Located in an old stone house with a beautiful court and serving French food with an Israeli touch.
Favorite Dish: Everything!

Seven Arches Hotel: Lunch on the Mount of Olives
We were taken for a pleasant luncheon to the restaurant in the Seven Arches Hotel on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
Street Vendors: Falafels
Favorite Dish: In Jerusalem, along the outer wall, I had the best Falafals that I've ever eaten. Well, I hope so, it IS the national dish!! I just haven't found any that compare since.
