Seeing the Haas Promenade by segway

This is a fun way of seeing Jerusalem! "Segway Jerusalem" operates tours on segway transporters for small groups. One favorite route will take you along the Haas promenade and Sherover promenade, overlooking the Old City and the surrounding valleys, and into the Peace Forest. There are several other routes, and they will also tailor a tour according to your wishes.
The tours are guided by a licensed tour guide, and personal audio devices are provided.
It's not cheap: NIS 180 for an 1.5 hour tour!

Equipment: Gear provided by the operator.

Jerusalem is located in the mountains (between 650-850 meters above sea level) and there is a place called Tsuba where you can enjoy riding your bike.

Climbing the mountain if very difficult and you should be in good shape because it is concidered to be one of the hardest climbing in Israel (not the Tour-De-France but still hard).

Equipment: Good bicycle and good shape.

Mountain Biking In The Judea Mountains

The Judea Mountains - that surround jerusalem are a heavan for mountain bikers in Israel. The best area is west of jerusalem, where there are many routes and fellow riders.

Equipment: It is possible to rent a bike at "Sataf", an archeological and agricultural site, located west of jerusalem. Every jeruselamite must know this place if you plan on visiting.
In "sataf" you can also find a 6-8 km. route - marked and not too hard...
have fun
