    This is the main entrance to the YMCA. The central tower is a landmark in Jerusalem and before the advent of highrises in New Jerusalem was singular.

    This windmill was built directly adjacent to the first neighbourhood outside the old city walls and was used to grind flour. Also built by Moses Montifiore as was the adjacent neighbourhood of Yemin Moshe.

    The Jerusalem great synagogue is located on King George street. This is one of the most famous synagogues in Jerusalem , with beautiful architecture and stained glasses inside the building.

    This place is just at the gate of the old city, it's historical museum and very interesting place to visit, also there is great view from this place.

    From mgmor's Jerusalem Page: "If you're a family with children or a romantic couple or jusl like the nature life you can spand a few hours in the beautyfull zoo located 30 minutes on bus from city center, in a charming vally. all the animals have large yards and the zoo is based on two thems: animals that apears in the bible and endangered species. you can see animals like Asian lion, red panda and Persian tiger as well as australian animals and other rare animals. the garden itself is very beautifull and relaxing and you have many activities like animal feading, elephant and monkies training, pating zoo an a range of small pavilions of insects, small animals, reptiles and birds. and you got an extra: the zoo is also a meeting point to all of the faces of jerusalem - jews and arabs, kids and old people. orthodocs familys and "normal" jerusalems, monks and rabbies. just everybody".

    One of the things I like the most in Jerusalem is to walk around in the old neighbourhoods, some houses are really beautiful and amazing. You might even just be invited inside for a cup of coffee.

    While walking in the streets check out the small house gardens , some houses have beautiful gardens hidden after the gate. Flowers , herbs , fruit trees , sometimes statues and art.

    Independence Park is the biggest open space in central Jerusalem. Not overly inspiring, it incorporates, however, the site of an old Islamic graveyard and a huge ancient reservoir.
