The zoo in the Motzkin Park is as small as Motzkin is -but has everything! You can see giraffes and hippos and lots of beautiful and dangerous snakes as well as birds. There's a monkey corner where they are not caged, but roam freely in their area, and you can actually feed them, touch the, take a picture etc etc... It's not only monkeys but lamas and goats and other sorts of animals that you can interact woith without the disturbance of a cage. It's a very good experience for young kids to bond with animals and to learn not to be scared of them.
As I know now, meat -and that is red meat for us chicken doesn't qualify as meat in Israel- is the food that people go nuts about here. A good steak is always appreciated and liitle Israeli babies have teeth that can tear a buffolo apart at a very young age! Thus, the meat eater genes. So, if you really want to eat some good meat, deliciously prepared with generous portions and yummi sides, give "El Groucho" a go!
Favorite Dish: Steaks, steaks and steaks! (I gave up trying to become a vegetarian)
