    Agadir: Agadir for burgers

    by Martin_S. Written Sep 23, 2011

While not strictly a "steak house", Agadir does use good cuts of meat to make their hamburgers for which they are locally famous. I might say the BEST burgers in Israel.

Favorite Dish: The restaurant in Eilat is called the Agadir "Resort" and the one thing I think that for anybody who enjoys a good burger I can guarantee that you will enjoy these. We have tried them on many occassions and in several of their restaurants (they now have 5, but we began to enjoy them when they had only 1), and enjoyed each and every one.

Duda: Good and inexpensive at Duda

    by Martin_S. Written Sep 17, 2011

Simple fare that tasted good and decent prices to boot. The are also fair, one of their offers is that if you order two spits (meats on a spit), you get a side order free. Two of our party only ordered a single spit, but they told us since each ordered one, that equals two, so you get a side order free.
I tried the chicken hearts and the entrecote steak. Others tried greek salad, pizza, calzone, sauteed mushrooms and all were good.
The spits vary in price, from the 19 NIS for the chicken hearts to a whopping 54 NIS for goose liver, the entrecote that I tried was 28 NIS.

Favorite Dish: Not to forget the service was excellent and with a smile, it always seemed like we had three or four waiters.

    cafe cafe: cafe cafe

by littlebush Written Sep 15, 2011

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

CafeCafe is a chain in Israel.
The one we went in was along by the big hotels on the beach front, about a 5min walk beyond the lagoon bridge.
it has nice comfy sofas outside.
it was 139 (£24) shekels for two of us to have a main and a beer each.

If eating during the day, theres some places right on the beach.
we ate at the place as you walk onto the northern beach, its on your right just after you walk past the shopping centre on your right.

it has great sea views!! and good service.
    didnt catch its name though.

we had 2 great salads for 100 NIS.

Casa do Brasil: Casa do Brasil if you enjoy meat

    by Martin_S. Written Dec 6, 2010

Who knows how to enjoy a meat meal if not a Brasilian. Here in Israel there is a small chain (3 restaurants) called Casa do Brasil, a Brasilian Grill or Churrascaria as they call it. You can enjoy a seemingly endless round of different types of meat and here in Eilat the owner/cook is also moving entertainment. He may decide to announce to the entire restaurant what you are eating and then SING to you, its great.

Favorite Dish: If you are a big meat eater, as I am, go for the complete endless round of meat, something like 13 different types, ranging from chicken hearts to steak, each will be served to you in its turn and after you finish them ALL, you can start OVER AGAIN.

    Vista Hotel Restaurant: Halph pension

    by Kuznetsov_Sergey Written Jun 27, 2010

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Eilat offers dozens of restaurants throughout its length and breadth, on the beach and in the city, in the tourist district and in the heart of the industrial zone. With this profusion of restaurants, you are most likely find yourself in nice place to dine - Italian, Chinese, Oriental, European, Indian or Yemenite style!

I had a half-pension in the Vista Hotel so I had a buffet in its restaurant every morning and evening. I found it very nice with a lot of good and various dishes.

You can watch my 2 min 40 sec HD Video Eilat Vista Hotel Restaurant out of my Youtube channel.

    The Gulf Restaurant: Very Local

    by Gili_S Updated Feb 20, 2010

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is very typical local restaurant located just near the bridge of the Hilton hotel. It has large menu that can be to the taste of anyone, from anywhere, to me here the best are the simple stuff, the hummus and kebab and other local items were nice to wash up with the local cold goldstar dark lager beer.

    Pago Pago: Eilat's Floating Restaurant

by TravellerMel Written Dec 6, 2009

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Pago Pago is a beautiful and unique restaurant. Moored in Eilat's lagoon, the restaurant is on a boat. You can feel the water gently rocking the boat, which is secured (so no chance of it floating away). The food is a little pricey, but was very tasty and in ample quantities. I loved being able to look out at the harbor while I ate, and as the evening got a little warmer, we opened the windows to let in the sea air. I could see where this could be a romantic restaurant, given the right company.

Favorite Dish: I ordered the Seashell Pago Pago, which was shrimp and calimari in a rich cream sauce, served in a large clamshell, with salad and bread, which came to about $40. I also had a dessert which was chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate syrup, which was delicious.

Boston Fish and Grill: Yummy elegant dining

    by piglet44 Updated Oct 8, 2009

Lovely elegant restaurant on the Eilat Promenade near all the hotels. We were actually looking for the Indian restaurant we always go to, but unfortunately it closed two years ago apparently. So we strolled up and down till we found this place which had business dinners for 79,89 or 99 shekels. We had a starter each and main course - one salmon fillet and one sea bream with baked potato.Service was brilliant and total was under 300 including two coffees and a glass of delicious dry white wine and one large bottle of Italian mineral water. Not bad..

Favorite Dish: grilled salmon fillet in garlic and cream sauce

    Cafe Aroma

    by Gili_S Written Sep 19, 2009

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The networks of Cafe Aroma are all over Israel. Those are the kind of places with self service fast food style, but the location in Eilat is convenience by the sea so it can be a good place to take a break from the sun and have a cold drink. Try the ice cold coffee, it is nice refreshment :)

    The Observatory cafe

    by Gili_S Written Sep 19, 2009

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

At the Observatory there is this nice cafe, it looks nice, the place is fantastic with a great view and even romantic if you wish. They offer standard items, drinks and cakes but be aware as this does not seems very crowded or popular, some items might not be that fresh as it should be, so I say, just have a cold drink and great view of the sea here.

  • Texas Grill: Highly Recommended

by ronnysurfer Written Dec 12, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I was at Texas Grill in early 2004

The restaurant has an all-you-can-eat special for the price of 80 Shekels, which is more or less equal to $20.

The food was great, especially the steaks (good meat).

As I said, it was an all-you-can-eat offer and I ordered at least 4 steaks and 2 salmon steaks.

And the waiters were very friendly and didn't stop to ask "another one?"
And they didn't even complain that I had eaten so much.

    A very decent place!

    Favorite Dish: Steak (good meat)

    Penelope: Penelope

by ophiro Written Aug 20, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Penelope is a real gem on Eilat's restaurants variety.
The location of the restaurant is on the entrance to the city , very close to Big shopping center so there is quiet place , not too crowded with tourists.

The place is very cheap and offers business meal in 29 nis , 29 nis , 49 nis and 59 nis.

The service is very good and the food is also a great experience.

Favorite Dish: The bread is excellent and you get also 2 dips with the bread - we took pesto and tehina and they were great.

The hamburgers were tasty and the french fries were good too.

Enjoy a slushie on the beach

by OrangeFish Written Jul 29, 2007

One suggestion to cope with the hot sun in Eilat is to enjoy one of many flavours of slushies on the beach.

Favorite Dish: Of the flavours I can remember, my particular favourites were : fresh strawberry, watermelon, lemon and lime.
