    3.5 out of 5 stars

First, no one was at the door to greet us...we had to find our own way to the tables (3 stair levels down). No body was in the restaurant (first tip we should have taken to walk out). We ordered tap water (tourists aren't made of money..tap water = free)...but they didn't have tap water (how?!)...so they MADE us buy mineral water. Everything we...

    Don't go to Eilot.

We hoped to find a quite place near Eilat. At first Kibuts Eilot ( a few KM from Eilat) seemed a good place. Unfortunately we discovered that beside the small lodgings the kibuts has a noisy big hotel within its premises. If your “country lodging” is near this hotel facility you will be targeted with disturbing music sounds, making your stay in Eilot not worth it.

The management of the lodgings did not seem to take our comments too serious and we were disappointed to learn that they do not warn people up front that some of their lodgings are effected by the sound of the hotel. Considering the price of around 450 NIS a night (weekends higher) this could be seen as misinformation of tourists.

    What happened to the kibutsniks?

So if you are looking for a quite place, skip Kibuts Eilot (Kibbutz Eilot), or Eilat in general.

You probably can find a better place in a kibuts that is a bit father away from Eilat.
