I saw this inscription in Hebrew, English and Russian when visited the Coral Beach:
“Undeclared beach – bath at your own risk!
Fishing is prohibited!
No sea crafts allowed!
Do not disturb or remove any natural assets!
(We have been told it would cost you several thousand dollars…)
Keep the reserve clean!
Please immediately report any damage to nature to tel….”

The east part of the promenade

Not that danger, but very disappointing, the Promenade used to be a beautiful place to hang around peacefully at any time of the day but this city manage to ruin it. I talk about the part from the sea mall until the bridge at the Hilton hotel, it is full of stand, noisy, dirty and disgusting and by all means I try to avoid it and walk on the path behind the hotels and join the promenade only on it eastern part from the Hilton hotel further was much better.

Drink as much as you can

Drink as much as you can, and I don't mean beer, but pure water or juice. In the heat of the day you need to drink a lot, depends what is your activity and if you are under the direct sun. Drink all the time even before you feel any thirsty. Dehydration is at high risk and if you already feel headache it is too late. Stop whatever activity you do, sit in the shadow and drinks lots of water.

Sun rise over Eilat, not so hot yet.

Is you are in Eilat during the heat of the summer (May to September) be aware that temperatures and heat are unbelievable. Obviously to all of European and Nordics origins, suntan lotion is a must if you don't want to burn your skin. The damage can be such bad that would be so painful you will spend the rest of your holiday in the shade

The road

The Arava road is another way to come to Eilat (the other way is Mizpe Ramon).
The road is one lane for each side and it can be very boring and monotonous because of the distance and the landscape.

There are a lot of accidents there because people fall asleep while driving or trying to pass other car.

Please try to drive carefully or stop from time to time if you can.

car accident

The road from Mizpe Ramon can be very dangerous , very curvy , height difference on the crater.
Although the road is in very good condition and you can drive fast , you should be very careful on the turns.

We saw a car accident there and it is not a pleasent thing.

There are 2 ways of reaching Eilat from the main areas ot the country (that I am aware of.)
1 is by air and 1 is by road. If you are going by road, be aware that you will be driving through desert. This may or may not be a disadvantage, but do not be caught by surprise!

Don't go to Egypt without a visa

Down Town Eilat

If you are going to visit only Sinai it is okay without a visa (at least for Swedish citizens), but if you are going to see more of Egypt you need a visa, and that you can’t get at the border. There is an Egyptian Consulate in Eilat. It opens 9 o’clock in the morning and they issue the visa in about an hour. Bring a passport photo. For the visa I paid 65 shekels (about 15 dollars). The address for the consulate is: 68 Afraty Street, Bna Betkha, Eilat

Eilat's Weather

The weather in this area can be quite unpleasant at the summer, it rise up to 40c or higher and usualy its dry (no humidity).
For people whom are coming from cold countries, or even for me who lives only 500km northern to Eilat this weather needs taking alot of care

That means drinking water and i really mean A LOT of water cause even if you dont feel it at that hours when you're under the sun you will definitely feel bad and degydrated in the evening.
Also remember to use loads of sun cream or and wear a hat unless if you really feel like getting burned and suffer afterwards...

Scorpionfish

As amazing is this fish is, believe me you dont want to meet it personaly or shell i say touch it !
The Scorpionfish and Stone are very good at camouflage, Thats why you hardly ever see tehm and when you do its after you were stepping on them. Once you see them, they are easy to photograph because they usually don't try to get away from you. They are HIGHLY POISONOUS and it is best to stay away from them !!
In case of an unpleasent "meeting" you gota get out of the water and make sure you are being taken immediately to a hospital, no time to wait !!!
