Afrikans bills itself as "a South African dining EXPERIENCE"....well if what we experienced is the way the restaurants serve and present food, then now I know why people LEAVE South Africa. The chef is presented as "international chef Michael Hammerschlag"...
This was one of the most terrible experiences we have had in dining in the last years. The waitress was not only VERY young (about 15 I think), she was also totally unkowledable about what they had to offer, each and EVERY question sent her running into the kitchen to ask...so our table of 12 took about 40 minutes just to order.
When we were served, dishes were mixed up and presented to the wrong persons, some of the food was cold, and we even got beers that had been standing in the sun.
Worst was the steaks, not done as orderded, overdone or underdone, only one person in our party enjoyed the meal since she was a veggie and the salad was fresh.
In short, I would avoid this restaurant and will NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL.Related to:
