Sometimes you can be lucky enough to catch a Bedouin Fair. Here near Arad this one was set up in the local forest and we enjoyed a day of arts, crafts, plays, horse or camel races, and of course the Bedouin food, from Pita (flat bread) to Lebaneh (cheese).

Around the Negev desert there are many Bedouin (they are a part of the Arab nation that are wanderers settlement. They have a very special way of life. They still live in tents and make some strange food (some of it is very good...).
At my last school trip tpo the Negev (2004) we spent 1 night at a Bedouin farm, it was called "Han Hashayarot". At the arrivel we been given a special tea taht every guest gets when he comes to visit. After it we had a very good meal that included great meat. In the tents there were only some mattresses so we were lucky that we brought sleeping bags.
All of it summarizing my visit at the Bedouins farm that generally are very hospitable and friendly people.

A lot of people come to see the dead sea and to float in the water.
A well known custom is to read a news paper in the water while someone else is taking your picture.
