There is a very popular firing range situated at Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar (yes, Again!) in the upper Galilee.
I knew someone who worked there & they seemed a friendly bunch, I wish I had a go whilst I the opportunity was there.

I take small groups of women on hiking trips to Israel. Why Israel?
Hiking Israel is an extraordinary experience that defies description. Beyond the indisputable beauty of its landscapes, its exquisite species of flora and fauna, and its rich diversity of animal life, there is an ethereal sense of the past coming alive. There is no place on earth that tugs at one’s heart and soul so profoundly and no paths as enthralling as the ones explored on this journey.
Israel is a small country whose length can be crossed in a day and whose width can be crossed in even less time. Squeezed into this tiny area are lonely sand dunes, icy snow capped mountains, arid deserts, and lush forests.
People tend to think of Israel as a relgious destination, a place where Christians and Jews make a one-time pilgrimage to visit holy sights and museums. But I want to tell you that if you truly want an exotic destination in which you experience a physical, emotional and a spiritual transformation, if you want to see some of the most breathtaking places on earth, then experiencing the natural Israel is something you simply must do
Equipment: There are four essential pieces of equipment:
1. A hat
3. Good hiking boots

Sailboard / wind surfing
Good winds and a beautiful sea are always a good thing if you want to enjoy sailboarding / wind surfing.
In Haifa - We saw a lot of people sailboarding near the southern exit and very close to Yotavata in town.
In Tel Aviv - almost on every beach you will see but there is a school near Hilton beach.

Bicycle - israel bike trail
The Israel bike trail , or in Hebrew "Hot'ze Israel" is something like 900km from The Hermon Mt to Eilat.
Near Petah Tikva , the place i live , there is part of the trail that leads to Rosh Ha'ayin , Hod hasharon and another trail that leads to Tel aviv and the beach (and you pass Ramat gan and Ha'yarkon park and river).
Equipment: You need good bicycle , helmet to protect your head , gloves for your hands , water and rescue kit.
The fashion of bicycle ride is getting a huge acceleration here in Israel.
you will see a lot of peope riding their bicycles - kids and adults , men and women.
There are a lot of places to ride , even near the major cities - the Yarkon near Tel aviv , Bet Oren near haifa and many more.

Four Wheeling in the Desert
Although I didn't do this myself, there are plenty of opportunities to experience some of the Israeli desert terrain by four-wheeling across it.
You can contact any of the local travel agencies and arrange for a tour of the Negev Desert, which is a popular place to engage in this kind of activity.
Swim in Caesarea
You can enjoy the lovely beach in Caesarea everyday from 9:00-18:00 with a lifeguard.
To enter the beach you should pay 25 NIS for an adult or 10 NIS if you already paid for entering the park.
After 18:00 it is free but no Lifeguard.
The Sea is very convenient most of the time and sailing is a great option.
Very relaxing , a man and a boat alone in the open water.
I took this picture from Mandarin beach on sunset - i think this man on the boat is having fun.
Kayaking or rafting in the Jordan River
If you like this kind of adventures then there ar a few places in the North of Israel that can offer you this excitment in the Jordan River.
One place like that i Kfar Blum (Blum Village)which is not far from Qiryat Shmona.
One thing though, this river can be very tricky at times and people underestimate its danger so don't do this activities on your own and in areas which are not mean to that, other then that its a real fun !
Tel Aviv Watersports
Windsurfing, sailing, banana boats, sea kayaking are some of the sports available on the beach here. Be wary of going past your capabilities swimming as there is a strong undercurrent here.
Apart from the main beach there is also a religious beach, which even has women only days, open to all Jewish or not, be aware the beachwear here is much more conservative than on Tel Aviv's mainstream beach.Related to:

Skiing & Snowboarding
I had no idea Israel would have enough snow for a ski resort, even a small one. So it came as a wonderful surprise, I was told there was enough snow to ski on but until we actually got there I didnt believe it.
There are only 4 runs with the longest being just over 2km. There are different ski lifts for skiiers & voyers to get you to the top. When we were there there seemed more people watching than participating
Update: another 9 runs have recently been opened and there is now 45 km of ski runs at Mount Hermon.
Equipment: All equipment can be hired there.
