The Sea is very convenient most of the time and sailing is a great option.Very relaxing , a man and a boat alone in the open water.I took this picture from Mandarin beach on sunset - i think this man on the boat is having fun.

If you like this kind of adventures then there ar a few places in the North of Israel that can offer you this excitment in the Jordan River. One place like that i Kfar Blum (Blum Village)which is not far from Qiryat Shmona. One thing though, this river can be very tricky at times and people underestimate its danger so don't do this activities on your own and in areas which are not mean to that, other then that its a real fun !

Windsurfing, sailing, banana boats, sea kayaking are some of the sports available on the beach here. Be wary of going past your capabilities swimming as there is a strong undercurrent here. Apart from the main beach there is also a religious beach, which even has women only days, open to all Jewish or not, be aware the beachwear here is much more conservative than on Tel Aviv's mainstream beach.

I had no idea Israel would have enough snow for a ski resort, even a small one. So it came as a wonderful surprise, I was told there was enough snow to ski on but until we actually got there I didnt believe it.There are only 4 runs with the longest being just over 2km. There are different ski lifts for skiiers & voyers to get you to the top. When we were there there seemed more people watching than participating Update: another 9 runs have recently been opened and there is now 45 km of ski runs at Mount Hermon. All equipment can be hired there.Photo was taken from the chair lift

Near Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar there is a small riding stables, I am not in to horseriding myself, but my friend Helen quite often used to pop along for a ride through the Hula Valley. They supply any equipment you want, hats do not seem compolsury as they are here in Britain

In many places, farms and kibbutzim you can get on horse for a nice riding, I did so in Eilat riding in the desert but here you can the green meadows of the hills near Kfar Uria.

Kayaking on the Jordan River....lush green landscape, beautiful water, perfect for the beginner. The booming sound you hear will not be thunder, it is actually artillery fire being shot off toward Syria. It is not talked about, but artillery is shot off daily toward Syria. Such an odd combination, the peaceful scenery, easy water to canoe and yet the constant sound of unrest. You are safe, however, taking this sports activity, and it is highly recommended! Kayaks and safety equipment are provided at the site. Bring bottled water and a camera in a waterproof bag.
Our National football stadium is in Ramat Gan.with 50,000 seats the stadium is considered one of the largest and most comfortable in the Middle East.

One of the most famous golf courses in Israel is located in Caesarea.Outside the old town you will find it.
