As always it is worth waiting for a good sunset. It seems that the best are in the changing season times, in April or November. Although a good storm in January may bring out some fantastic views also. Leave a Comment

In Herzilya you can find some great beaches for swimming, sailing or even cliffs to paraglide off of. You can see the seabreaks they have constructed to give some shelter from the waves coming in off the greater Mediterranian sea and also some shelters to keep you out of the sun in the hotter hours of the day. While visiting our friend Rob in Herziliya, we were surprised to see both a Falcon (which is a native of Israel) and a PARROT sitting on a television antenna just across the courtyard on a house close by.
In the second picture you can see the Parrot ATTACKING the Falcon. We could not find a nest or something that would cause the parrot to attack, maybe it was over territory, but it happened several times, each time the Falcon fleeing from the parrot attack...we were amazed, it seems that the "top" predator, the raptor, was scared of the parrot..could it be because it was not familiar with the parrot and could not asses the danger, the loud colors may have frightened it also.
