Yam 7 is located near the Acadia Hotel in Herzliya-Pituach, strategically situated overlooking the beach below. The view includes the marina in the south, the Acadia-Central and Acadia-North beaches and the beach-level promenade.
This is a big and spacious restaurant, and the amount of "personal space" that each table gets here is remarkable. The menu is varied, including meat, fish, pasta, salads and more.
Three of us ordered sreaks and were very satisfied, and I liked my hamburger as well.
"Etzel Avi" means "Chez Avi" in Hebrew. This is a simple beach restaurant which is very strategically located, on the lower promenade of the Herzliya Pituach beach.
You come here for the location, not for the food. The menu includes all the usual items you find in such restaurants in Israel.
We had humus, falafel and a greek salad, and everything was quite tasty. There is a selection of beers, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and also coffee and tea. Service is slow, but our waiter was attentive and efficient.
In Israel even an evening in November is a good time to sit outdoors in the Hertzeliya marina, eat and have a drink, and the breeze is pleasant and not too cold.
We spent a very nice evening in the Kakao Espresso Bar; this is one of several branches of this trendy network of cafes in Israel.
If you want to eat they have the typical menu in Israeli cafes: sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta, desserts.
The ambience was very pleasant, as we watched the passers by on the quay and the yacht masts gently swaying in the water. Service was good and efficient.
The Herzilya marina is not exactly my favorite place: a concrete monster where golden sand used to be. However. once it was built, it does provide opportunities for good dining.
We went to Medzzo for dinner to celebrate Ofrah's birthday. There were six of us, and the uniform opinion was very good. There is a large selection in the menu; I enjoyed my beef carpaccio and the chicken in cream and mushroom sauce. The others loved the dishes of their choice: beef steak, salmon fillet. The desserts (chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream with fruit of the forest) were delicious. The service was friendly and professional. The place was rather noisy (full house on a Friday night), but otherwise the ambience was also nice.
Black steer is a good south african restaurant that serves all kind of meat - Hamburgers , Steaks , Chicken and more.
The food here is very good and you can even enjoy meetings or conferences in the VIP room they've got here.
We had here a birthday party and enjoyed.
Favorite Dish: I ate here a great fillet Steak , one of the best steaks i ate here in Isreal.
This is one of these restaurants where you'll be enjoying and appreciating every bite. First, you'll feel sorry that your fork will have to destroy the beautiful presentation on a plate. And then you'll swear that this is the tastiest thing you have ever had.
The decorations are very romantic, in white colors (Lavan means white in Hebrew) and gentle red lights. First floor contains of regular tables and an impressive bar. And the gallery floor is the "creme de la creme" of the restaurant. Large compartments with king size matrasses with big pillows and tables in the middle.
It's an upscale restaurant, so the dress code does not include shorts and sandals. Additionally, leave your old socks with holes at home and wear your best pair, because you'll be asked to take your shoes off before being sitted on the matrasses :).
Definitely not a cheap place, but the food is great, wine selection is large, and the service is friendly and very professional.
Favorite Dish: Try the shrimp in sun dried tomatoes creamy sause and wrapped asparagus dish as appetizers. Continue with 300g. entrecote or parpadelle pasta with tomato sauce. Yummi!
This one was a loser for me, the steak was small, only about 250 grams and it was a "tough bird". Not often am I so disappointed when eating a beef steak.
What did make the evening not a total loss was the ambience, sort of American west/kitsch, even to having a cigar store indian there, not to mention the wagon wheels, sombreros, 6 shooters and other accounterments...
And I do need to mention that our waiter was very good, polite and helpful..so in this case even though totally dissatisfied with the food he got a good tip for the service.
End result, you may enjoy the place itself, and even try another meat dish so be okay, but if you are a steak person, try White Hall across the street.....
Okay this is a restaurant that is deep in contrasts.
The waitress who served us was great, fast and accurate, always catching your eye to see if you need anything. The staff was friendly and when I joked about my coctail being "watered down", they took it back and added a stiff shot of rum.
Four of us sat down to a late lunch and the food was actually very tasty, well presented and sufficient.
Our PROBLEM came when we found a HAIR in the food, a very LONG and very DARK hair which did not fit any of us. We called the owner over to show him and instead of apologizing he began to tell us of the Italian woman who prepares these dishes... Several of our group also put aside their food and did not finish. We asked for our check and were charged for the half eaten food, even THAT WITH THE HAIR IN IT.
Wake up Ocean, take responisibilty for your preperations, we all accept that mistakes can be made, accept that and make up for it. One more restaurant that I will make sure not a single friend visits.
This is one of the more popular fish restaurants in Herzliya-Pituach, and justly so. It's suitable for families, friends' get-together and for young or old couples, if they are looking for a casual, friendly atmosphere and not for the most romantic, intimate place (which Shuree-Buree is definitely not).
As soon as you sit down an array of salads and starters is laid out before you, including some fish starters (herring). Free refills of the starter dishes are offered generously (we were asked 3 times which salads we wanted more of).
There is a selection of tasty fish (or a limited choice of other seafood). You do not pay extra for the salads & starters if you order a fish for main course.
The service was good and efficient when we were there.
From the center of Herziliya Petuach, the area of Herziliya that is on the coastline, you need to ask where the Spider Pub is. There is a small dirt road that leads off the center of town where you can park and then walk down to the pub. The pub itself is set at the bottom of the cliff and is only a few meters from the shore. So you will have swimmers coming up from the beach and office workers coming down from the town. As you can see in the first photo it is "casual". They have wine and beer and a small menu, but the best part of the Spider Pub was enjoying your food and drink while watching the sunsets. As you can see in the first photo Zohara and Hrvojka are enjoying while ordering.
Lucca is an Italian restaurant located in Herzliya's marina , just in front of the boats and the water , which makes a very relaxing atmosphere.
This is not a kosher restaurant so you can find here all kinds of Pasta , gnocchi , focaccia , pizza , fish , chicken and meat.
Favorite Dish: As a pasta lover i ate Pene with Pesto and it was very good , the focaccia was tasty and also the starters they gave us.
Moses, located in the middle of Herzliyas business ditrict offers one of the best hamburgers in Israel I believe. Built in a style of a high class dinner it offers a wide range of meat, salads, Deserts and also have a nice bar. The service is good but sometimes the place can get crowded. In weekends it may be better to make a resevation.
It can be a great place for having birthdays in my opinion and there are also some latenight menus in very good prices.
Favorite Dish: The "Artburger" - 250 grams of meat made in secret recipe for the third generation already!
Lucca is a nice Italian restaurant by the sea , on the marina of Herzliya.
The food is very good and the service is fine.
Favorite Dish: The starters were great , the pasta was good , we ordered two dishes - one with Pesto and the othre one was was Alfredo.
The bread was also vert good.
We were searching for a steakhouse to rival those we frequented in the States (Morton's, Sullivan's, Forbes Mill). We never expected to find it at a kosher place, but decided to try after recommendations from friends and a review in the Jerusalem Post.
The upscale casual atmosphere matched the food perfectly. Fresh flavors that are subtly enhanced, not overpowered, by seasoning; elegant yet not fussy presentation; a decent yet not overwhelming selection of both food and wine. The South African touches (bourewors, billtong, monkeygland sauce), add an interesting texture to the menu. My South African born husband claimed he was brought back to his childhood by the onion strings.
The biggest surprise was probably the outstanding service. We were there for my daughter's ninth birthday, and the waitress(es) were friendly and kind without being condescending. My daughter ordered tuna tartare as an appetizer, but didn't really like it as it was chopped up with onions and herbs. However, our waitress noticed, asked what was wrong and offered to bring her a new one made exactly the way she wanted. Even though my husband and I had already eaten probably a quarter of it. Another example of the attentive service is that, without being asked, a waitress (not even ours) noticed that my daughter needed another napkin and brought a small stack. In fact, in general, the cooperation among the wait staff was remarkable.
The dessert (chocolate fondant) was excellent. The fact that it had no dairy was not even missed. The only thing I missed was an after dinner cappucino, but after such a large meal it was probably for the best.
From Ophiro's Page:
"We came to Dublin to celebrate my wife's birrthday and it was a great place !
I never visited Ireland so i don't know if it is an authentic pub like the pubs in Ireland but the atmosphere was great.
They serve many types of beer , food and more alcholoic beverages.
The food plates are also very big.
Favorite Dish: I ordered 0.5 liter of guinness beer from the barrel and also a glass of whiskey.
The beer cost me 24nis (5 usd)."
