Carpe Diem: Behind the Black Door

    by leffe3 Written Apr 10, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

An innocuous black door and grey painted walls hides one of the newest and certainly trendiest bars in TA. Carpe Diem takes its design seriously, its sounds even more seriously (live DJ virtually every night provides more ambient that dance groove music), the food is pretty good (for a bar, it has a very experimental menu) and, surprisingly in a place that could take itself too seriously, is very friendly - attracts a wide crowd of people predominantly under 35. Be prepared to stand if you arrive late - or arrive after 2am when the crowd starts to thin out. But it does have an outdoor deck - and the toilets are great!

Dress Code: Its a cool dude place but actually, anything goes...
