Mash advertises as a Sports Bar, specialising in UK football. We turned up en masse last night to see Man Utd v Spurs (advertised as the main event on Mash website) to find the entire seating area turned in to a mass poker tournament & the big screen missing. Our option was to watch on a tiny screen outside or on a small screen at theentrance, both without sound.
The guy in charge was extremely rude & obnoxious.
I've been going to Mash for 6 years but wouldn't set foot in the place again & I know for sure that they lost other future customers last night.
MASH is one of Tel-Aviv oldest pubs. It is one of the very few pubs to resist all the passing fashions. It was never a 'yuppie' place, there is no sushi in the menu. Here you'll find basic 'pub' dishes and a large selection of imported beers.
Non-formal atmosphere where one can enjoy a large selection of beers and basic food. The staff and most of the clients are foreigners, so English is the dominant language here.
Dress Code:
Nothing special, a pair of jeans and a T-shirt will do.
One of the old traditional pubs Dizengoff St. This was the place we used to go when we just wanted to have few beers and talk as many languages that you can speak. Once even the bartender was a Finn here :)
