Molly Blooms: Molly Bloom's
  • Tip Rating:
  • Molly's is Tel Aviv's only Irish pub, and it's pretty good. It opens at 4pm most week days (noon at weekends) and serves the usual selection of beer (Carlsberg, Guinness etc) and limited Irish style menu (sausage and mash, cottage pie, guinness gravy etc), all accompanied by traditional Irish music. Although the music gets a bit more modern at night when the place starts to fill up with locals, expats and tourists. It's all very traditionally Irish in concept, with wood floors, bar stools and old wooden tables - think all those 'authentic' Irish pubs in England but a bit better. It's a good place to meet people and there's a happy hour from 4pm until 8pm

    Molly Blooms: Irish pub
  • Tip Rating:
  • At city center, close to our hotel, very convenient, after a long day, for a few drinks, before going bed. We visited twice, while staying in Tel aviv. As expensive as all Irish pubs

    Molly Blooms: The Green Isle
  • Tip Rating:
  • A genuine Irish Bar in downtown Tel Aviv right down to the Guiness and McCafferty's on tap, smoky atmosphere, wood and glass panelling and the sports channel permanently on the several monitors dotted round the bar. Small outside courtyard to the real - a welcome respite at times from the noise. Live Irish music played once or twice w eek (usually Mondays & Wednesdays). Serves limited (Irish) food (pies, fish & chips etc). Stays open until 3am most nights.

Whatever you wear will reek of smoke the next day, so don;t come with your best clobber.

Molly Blooms: Molly Blooms Irish pub
  • Tip Rating:
  • Authentic Irish surrounding 100 metres from the beach. The pub was lierally imported from Ireland and assembled here. When you come here, be ready for the crowds. It is always packed. Especially on St. Patrick's day when they bring out beer kegs taps out to the sidewalk and the entire street is blocked with people partying.

    Whatever!

    Molly Blooms: Introducing my favorite
There are quite a few Irish bars in Tel Aviv area, but not all of them offer Molly Bloom's atmosphere. From my very first visit it became my favorite bar. First, because it's not noisy and it's possible to talk to your friends while enjoying beer and good and not loud music. Happy hour lasts till 8pm, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday live music is played, the bar is open till the last customer is done drinking and St. Paddy's day is celebrated wildly. If you're hungry there's plenty of food on the Molly's menu. My beer usually goes with either fries or mushrooms fried in garlic. And if you're sports fan there are plenty of TV screens to entertain you. And here's another piece of useless info - this bar was brought from Ireland the way it looks now. Last month (December 2006) it celebrated its 6th B-Day - not many bars last that long in Tel Aviv!

Molly Blooms: Live Irish music on a Friday afternoon
Late Friday afternoon on Ha-Yarkon St., right next to the seaside promenade. A few talented and enthusiastic Israeli musicians play traditional Irish music on the fiddle, the flute and the bodhran. The pub is full with people young and old, Israelis and tourists, and the Craic is great. You enjoy a pint of Guinness or Kilkenny and hear voices talking in Heberw and in English mixing with the music. A young Israeli amateur dancer gets up and dances an Irish jig. The place: Molly Bloom's Irish pub. The time: Friday afternoons starting 16:30. Then you step outside and feel the last rays of the Tel-Aviv sun caressing your face, and see the sun setting over the Mediterranean.
