Crowded, tiny knick-knack tables with no room for your meal and no room for your feet underneath, noisey and accoustically "challenging", but SUPER EXCELLENT service and the food is superb. An additional advantage is that the Brasserie M&R is open 24/7. The only proper restaurant that I know of that is open at all hours.
One item, they do limit your time, in other words they tell you when you reserve a place that you can arrive at 2pm for instance and stay till 4pm.
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed a Entrecote Steak, others had various dishes like chicken, Cordon Blue, pate, and more, all declared GOOD.
At the end of the meal we decided to have coffee and only ONE single dessert for the four of us and we had to choose between several delicious sounding items. We finally made our decision and when the coffee and dessert arrived we found that there was an EXTRA one. We told the waiter that he had made a mistake and that we had ordered only a single dessert. He told us that he had enjoyed serving us so that he had brought us an extra "surprise". All in all an enjoyable evening.

The hottest new restaurant in town, run by the same owners as 'The Coffee Shop'.
Fabulous French-style environment - its all black leather, brass fittings, huge mirrors, white walls, Piaf through to apres party music (it gets louder and funkier as the night wears on), waiters in long white linen aprons etc. Surprisingly friendly and very good service.
Favorite Dish: Oysters, steak, pate, salads - classic bistro style food of excellent standard and quality.
Wine list simple (20 or so bottles to chose from - Israel, France, Italy, Spain, Australia), nothing too fancy and considring the ambience and style, reasonable cost.

A French Restaurant with a very nice interior.
Large and lots of place to sit. We had a problem with people smoking next to us but that was sorted out in a nice way. We had very good service and because we had to wait a little time for the food, we were give a plate of salad on the house. Before the meal we were served white/brown bread, butter and olives. I ordered sphagetti with meat balls and my boyfriend (see photo) had hamburger, chips and a little green salad. The food was served very nicely and was very tasty. I also had an orangeade and my boyfriend a beer. The cost was NIS 135 for both of us.

The service is impeccable, the food is always excellent and the ambiance is tops.
Favorite Dish: The catfish (melts in your mouth and comes with a homemade tartar sauce) and the warm goat cheese salad.
