Carmella Bistro: Seasonal Kitchen
Carmella Bistro was opened in 2002 by the same owners of the great restaurant Uri Buri
in Acre (north Israel).
Its a nice place, located in cenral Tel Aviv maybe more in the south part of it.
Menu changes with the seasons and quite good food is offered there.
If you're going to visit Shenkin Street and Hacarmal Market in TA then its not far from there.
Carmella Bistro: Good Food!
The restaurant is at one end of a very old building, and the only part renovated is the part where the restaurant is. It is very nice inside - high ceilings, and some nice floor tiles (look original) and a nice pictures of the building as it used to look. There is seating inside and outside and it's a very pleasant place to sit for a meal.
We came here after doing some shopping in the Arts and Crafts Market (every Tues and Fri) It is also next to the Carmel Market.
Favorite Dish: Our menu and cost for two persons (my boyfriend Marvin and I):
We both had Liver pate on toasted corn bread and onion and fig relish.I then had grilled Lavrak fillet with roasted potatoe and cherry tomatoes, served with sour cream and Marvin had mushroom ragu and corn sauce with asparagus and puff pastry, which he said was very good. He also had a glass of wine and a cup of tea and I had a glass of lemonade. The only complaint is that Marvin didn't even receive half a glass of wine. Apart from this the food and service was excellent. Good portions were given and I was sorry that I couldn't even finish mine.
The bill came to NIS 204 (not incl. service).
