"Suzana" is a well known restautant in Tel-Aviv, set in the heart of the historical neighborhood of Neve Tzedek. The Suzanne Dellal dance center and hall is right in front. The restaurant is located in a small old house which captures the atmosphere of Neve Tzedek, the first neighborhood built outside Jaffa in the end of the 19th century.
Both we and our American friends enjoyed the Middle Eatern dishes and the ambience.
The kubbeh was delicious, and my khreime (Moroccan-style spicy fish) was also very good. Service was good and friendly, and prices were reasonable.
Favorite Dish: The warm appetizers: you can order an assortment of these for 3-4 people and share: Cauliflower, lamb burgers in yogurt, green beans in tomato, falafel in Tehina, wild rice and calamari, burghul kibbeh, okra (bamiah)...

We loved this restaurant! It was neatly tucked away on the corner of Shabazi Street in the tony, artsy historical Neve Tzedek district of Tel Aviv. It's located just a block away from the Susan Delal Dance Center so if you are planning to attend a cultural event there, include dinner at Suzana.
Even if you're not planning to attend anything at the Susan Dalal Center, you should at least plan to stroll around the narrow, artsy streets of the Neve Tzedek area. It's right before you get to Jaffa, so it's an older scene, great ambience.
This restaurant was very much in keeping with the area. We loved it.
Favorite Dish: I'm a vegetarian and enjoyed some kind of spicey eggplant dish. It was delicious! David ordered some kind of chicken kebab which was also fabulous.
This was one of our best dining experiences while in Israel (a country which for us, has fantastic food).
