by Gili_S The Ben-Gurion International Airport is not far from Tel-Aviv and only about 40 min from Jerusalem. Easy to get to/from by taxi or local buses. When departing remember to get to the airport ahead of time do to the extra security measurements. Leave a Comment

by sandravdp By plane. Watch out, the security is very strictly. Questions will by asked by security like: why are you here, what relationship do you have with that friend you brought along, where are you going to, where will you stay, do you have any friends here bla bla bla. Very irritating, but you'd better co-operate. They also might inspect your bags. By bus. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

Ben Gurion, Israel's main airport, is in Tel Aviv. Security is very high here, so be prepared for searching looks and some questions when your passport and visa are checked on arrival. There was some interest about my surname - they picked up straight away that it was not British. When I told them my Dad was Indian I was grilled for a few minutes on where he was born, how long had he lived in the UK, what was my business in Israel etc... after handing over my letter from the Kubbutz Representatives in London however I was waved on straight away. On leaving Ben Gurion I was assigned a young army officer who went through my luggage literally piece by piece. This is standard practise. Just let them get on with it; causing a fuss just ensures the search will go n longer than neccessary. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

(In the past I often flew from Rosh Pinnna to Tel-Aviv, but as for 2007 there are no Arkia flights to Rosh Pinnna any more.) There are domestic flights to Tel-Aviv also from Eilat. It is easy to get to town from Sde Dov airport by bus or taxi. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

Israel has two international airports: Ben-Gurion airport near Tel-Aviv and Eilat airport by the Red Sea. Most flights land in Ben-Gurion. The new terminal 3 has a train station inside the complex. You can get by train to Tel-Aviv and north 24 hours per day, but not on Shabbats. Leave a Comment

Planes at Ben Gurion airport by traveloturc If you fly To Israel get to the airport early because the security check is more extensive than any you've had before and takes a long time. It's nothing to worry about, mostly questions about what you're going to be doing in Israel, if you have relatives and other seemingly innocuous inquiries that somehow help the security officials spot potential problems. To leave the country is a little different than yours because it takes more long to get out comparing to get In.Thats why please keep all the official papers in order to prove where you ve been in Israel ( Hotel ,restaurant invoices ,tickets etc etc ) Usually, customs officials will wave you right through, but don't be surprised if you are asked to open up your bags. Checks are random and are very common. Don't be offended or resist and you'll be on your way very soon.Last word . Dont make jokes to the officials!!!! Theme: Airplane
