Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport

by Carmela71

It is advised to arrive 3 hours before departure, as the safety registers can take a long time, bags will be checked exahustely, nad it is recomended to put electrical items, cameras, etc on hand luggage so they can check all in the same luggage.I am glad they did not open all our luggage after the hours we expend doing it lol... but some of the hand luggage was looked.Even if you ask for a exit seat, you do not get it, buahhhhhhhhhhhhh lol....

Camel

by Gili_S

If you expect to see camels just at the airport exit upon arrival to Israel then you will be disappointed. Yes, there camels but not as common measure of transportation. They are mostly for the tourist in major tourist sites but surely if you will get deep into the desert the local Bedouins in did do own camels and use them in their traditional way of life.

Jordan River Border Crossing

by iblatt

The Jordan River Border Terminal is the northern border crossing between Israel and Jordan. It is located near the Israeli city of Beit-She'an, and is open for passenger and cargo traffic. For passenger traffic, operating hours are: Sun - Thurs 06:30-21:00; Fri - Sat 08:00-20:00.Coming from Israel, cars and buses park near the Israeli border terminal. Passengers and their personal luggage pass through the Israeli passport control and customs, and then have to take a local bus for a short ride from the Israeli terminal to the Jordanian one, across the border gate. There passengers have to disembark, pass Jordanian passport control and customs, and can then take a Jordanian bus or taxi to their destination in Jordan. On the Israeli side there is a duty free shop and a taxi station. This is a very convenient and friendly border crossing.
