by Kuznetsov_Sergey

We came back to #90 NR from #8177. In 2,5 km we turned to #87 National Road and made a stop for a lunch. In 3 km we turned to the right and in 500 m we saw the Church of 12 Apostles in Capernaum. Actually Capernaum itself was 300 meters to the west but we didn’t go there. You can watch my 3 min 32 sec HD Video Kinneret Lake out of my Youtube channel.

To the Mount of Beatitudes from Yardenit

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

The traditional location for the Mount of Beatitudes is on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, between Capernaum and Gennesaret (Ginosar). The actual location of the Sermon on the Mount is not certain, but the present site is also known as Mount Eremos. It is approached by a road that climbs up from Tabcha junction, via Vered-Hagalil, towards Rosh-Pina and Upper Galilee. We drove by #90 National Road (the Kinneret Lake to the right). In 9 km we entered Tiberias (Old City to the right). In 15 km we came to the Mount of Beatitudes (right turn to #8177 before it). Total distance between Yardenit and the Mount of Beatitudes is 24 km (driving time about half an hour). You can watch my 6 min 32 sec HD Video Israel Kinneret-Capernaum out of my Youtube channel.

Nazareth around by bus

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Nazareth is nestled in a natural bowl which reaches from 320 m above sea level to the crest of the hills about 490 m. The Nazareth Range in which the town lies is the southernmost of several parallel east-west hill ranges that characterize the elevated tableau of Lower Galilee. We entered Nazareth along the Marjibn Amer (the Golden Crown Hotel to the right), then - Paulus HaShihi. We made a stop in an icon shop where spent half an hour. At Nazareth Square we left the bus and went to the Basilica of the Assumption. You can watch my 3 min 20 sec HD Video Nazareth out of my Youtube channel.
