The Street of Facades is actually a series of minor tombs built by the Nabataeans. They are not amongst the most interesting sites at Petra but worth visiting just the same. The Street of Facades is located as you approach the Roman Theatre from the Khasneh Tomb. Unfortunately it is here that you will find most of the hawkers that will pester you to by some cheap souvenior.
You can hang around in this canyon area and find caves and other interesting places, just be careful not to get lost. It is only the cat that always finds his way home :)

Just yesterday I returned home from my travel to Jordan.
I made horse riding tour to Jebel Haron it was WONDERFUL!
The Pharaun Column can be found on the way to the Snake Monument. There are the remains of what I believe to be a Roman Outpost nearby.
From these ruins you can see a fantastic landscape over the mountains. Very nice place in a fantastic location!!!
After the not so easy climb over the Nabataean stairs, appear in front of you a wonderful landscape.
From this point you must come back along the Siq and you can reach your car!!
On the road towards Little Petra you can see on your left some impressing rocky formations with nice colors and shape :)
These tombs are very difficult to reach and no many tourists go there because they are nothing of specials. But if you have time you can go there and do nice walk ;)
Just in front of Al-Khazneh, on the way to go to the Street of Facades, there is this sacred vestibule, that is probably connect to the rites celebrated to Al-Khazneh.
