There are lots of shops just outside the entrance to Petra. However, this one is my favorite. Why? It's because the name "Indiana Jones" is spelled wrong. The owner knows it and doesn't care. He says that he'll paint it "someday".

Address: Entrance to Petra
If you're looking for some fruit in Petra/Wadi Mousa you won't find any in the village street.
All the fruit shops have been moved to a main market, which is just below the new bus station.
It's quite good fun looking round the market.

Shopping-wise, there are many options to buy your stuffs !
Around the village of Wadi Musa (why do this place is still being called a village ? It's a town now !), we can get all the groceries & toileteries.
Near Petra complex, there are shops which sell camera films & access to The Internet & such.
The souvenir shops are also plenty around Wadi Musa or near the big hotels, well near the Petra complex.
Inside the ruins itself, The Bedouins would offer you some nice souvenirs from their generations.
Take a pick, choose wisely...
Sometimes they are fake & sometimes they are not fake !

A stall on the way (the same street) that leads to the gorge.
What to buy: Glass container in the shape of a bottle or similar idea filled with deftly composed images on dessert libretoes made of differently coloured sands. You can even watch the artisan in action.
Makes a great souvenir!
What to pay: Within the limit of $5.

Address: Just before the start of the walk to the gorge.
At the very top, when you search the Viewpoint after Monastery you will find the Viewpoint Shop. Like all the others they are moving shops. This man was going to Egypt in few days. He come here with his donkey, as the others, that wait for him under a little shadow.
Like others, this man was very hospitality, and he had also good silver things. We spend with him a long time in that incredible beautiful place.

In a big cave there is the most fantastic place, a very fresh place to rest after a long hot walk ... this is the best place to put a shop with drinks. When you get here you don't want to go ... just rest there at the carpets and drink something to calm the thirst, also with VISA and lots of tables and things to buy

yes, the same ... I think that is not the best place to put a shop, when you get up here you only want to live ... to brief, to rest a little, to be someone, and you know you have to go on ? you the last thing that comes to your head is to buy something.

The same merchandise, this time sell by a little girl, under the eye of her grandmother and brother. She really tried to sell us something. Well is just another place to buy something, just bargain, now you know the prices, so, try to get a good one. Of course the prices with bargain or without it are great.
This girl, we where told after, is the sister of the woman with more beautiful eyes in all Petra. I can really belief it cause this little girl really had gorgeous eyes.
When we where going she only told us ?do not buy to the man of the next shop? hahahahaha
