At Petra site there are many souvenirs stands, there are shops around the site entrance and stalls at the site itself. All sell similar items, some are unique and nice and some are too obvious.

If you plan to buy and send some postcards, buy some from the little kids that hang around, they only know to say 1 euro, dinar or dollar, it will be cheap for you anyway :)

On the road before Petra you can stop and buy some souvenirs, they will be cheaper here on the road stall then if you buy it in Petra. Barging is part of the deals here so you can use it sometimes :)
