    The desert has some places where water is naturally stored. Temperature here is like 8 degrees softer.

    Just a few minutes walk from the Rum Resthouse is the remains of a 1st century AD Nabatean temple. Little of it remains, but it's in an impressive location!

    Bedouin Rock Drawings

    There are Bedouin Rock Drawings in a Siq on the Northern side of Jabal Khazali.

    Throughout the Wadi Rum area there are many inscriptions and rock drawings.

    It is about 8 KM ride from Visitors' Center to Rum Village. You should have already meet yuour designated guide at the Visitors' Centre before you can proceed.

    Trust your Bedouin driver. He surely knows his way and how to get around. If not, take over the driving and follow the wheel trail! No drivers' licence? Don't worry as there is no petrol!

    If you have the whole day at your disposal and still do not want to take a tour or a jeep ride, the recommended thing is to go around the whole massive. I did not have yet time to do this.
