Machaerus

From Amman, Abadali Bus Station, take the bus to Madaba for 0.400JD, get off at the bus station. From the Madaba Bus Station, take a bus south to Machaerus - you'll have to change buses. Start early in the morning. Warning: this route is for serious travellers only. If you haven't been to the Middle East, go to Egypt or Turkey first for hazing. Then come to Jordan and try this trip.

Tips: Buy the bus driver a coke, take his picture and make friends with him so that he'll wait. At the very least, he'll have you as passengers travelling back.

Alternate transportation: Hire a taxi from Madaba or drive.
