    The city was still sleeping...

by titti Written Aug 24, 2002

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The city was still sleeping when we arrived. It’s difficult to describe what it was like. So used to the crowd, the noise, the colours of the day time in east and middle east cities, it was like enter another world. Same chaotic city-planning, same incoherent architecture, same signs advertising dentists and restaurants, same mess… but no sounds at all.

    Night life? What night life?...

by Marizos Written Aug 24, 2002

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Night life? What night life? You are not there for night life, although there is some, specially in the bars of some big hotels or in Abdoun area. But nightlife is not the attraction of this place. better sleep early and watch the sunrise from the desert.
Sleep in desert. You will never forget the experience.

Due to its mild climate all year round, and its share of western and Saudi Arabia tourists, Aqaba has a relatively active nightlife. There a re plenty of restaurants, bars and shops open 'til late.
