tche tche bar and champion bar: amman: 2 addresses

by call_me_rhia

To go out for fun or for drinks in the evening, in Amman, there are not many places. I dont mean alcohol, I mean just a drink. The posh hotels hotels all have bars, the Champion Bar at the Marriot Hotel is ok, I guess. Having said this it's far too posh for my taste, but at least there were a handful of local people. To smoke nargileh I was taken to a nice place in the Shmeisani are. It's called Tche-Tche and is less trendy than the Marriot (and so very much nicer): there's also a great selection of teas. informal but neat

by annipooh

Abudun Circle it's a must go for night life. There are cinemas, restaurants and clubs. Popular hang out spots for local youth. As always, don't wear anything that shows the skin on your legs. Usually, don't wear tank tops either, better with sleeved shirts or tops.

The city was still sleeping...

by titti

The city was still sleeping when we arrived. It’s difficult to describe what it was like. So used to the crowd, the noise, the colours of the day time in east and middle east cities, it was like enter another world. Same chaotic city-planning, same incoherent architecture, same signs advertising dentists and restaurants, same mess… but no sounds at all.

Night life? What night life?...

by Marizos

Night life? What night life? You are not there for night life, although there is some, specially in the bars of some big hotels or in Abdoun area. But nightlife is not the attraction of this place. better sleep early and watch the sunrise from the desert.Sleep in desert. You will never forget the experience.
