Unique Places in Jordan

The trip didn't require, or have the time to go to these two places...Maybe some other time. Still, the sign was cool.

To visit the 'City Of Petra' the pink-red city.
It is supposed to be half as old as TIME itself!
I'll create a travelogue for this item later.
Not to forget the 'Dead Sea'.

River Zarqua, on the way from Amman to Jerash. Our tourguide told us, that the river is quite important for the water-supply of Jordan. But nevertheless the river seemed to be very polluted.

At the opposite end is the Temenos Gateway, which marked the entrance to the courtyard of the Temple of Dushara.

A broad track from the Khazneh leads to the main street of Roman Petra, which is paved with cut stone and lined with columns.

Surrounding the open space dominated by the Khazneh are other tombs and halls mostly little more than man-made caves carved out from the rock.
