by MalenaN Before we left Rum village for the desertsafari in Wadi Rum we bought chickens for dinner. I will not tell you how the chicken feathers were taken off, but it was not by hand (at least the chickens were dead before). In the evening the meal tasted very good! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by MalenaN If you are a visitor at the Spa Hotel just for swimming you can only eat at the restaurant by the lower pool (the restaurant by the upper pool is just for guests at the hotel). It is not bad though. The view over the Dead Sea is nice and the sandwiches good. A chickensandwich and 7-up is 5 JD. Leave a Comment

by MalenaN Buy a fresh fuit juice of your own choise at one of the juice stands/cafés around in Jordan. The picture is from Ar-Razi Street in Aqaba. Chose your favourite fruit or mix of fruits: orange, mango, lemon, banana, melon, apple, strawberry etc. It is very delicious! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The church at Mount Nebo by MalenaN Are you tired of shawarmas? If you want to have something else and are willing to pay more the restaurant at Haret Jdoudna is nice. Haret Jdoudna is a complex with arts and crafts shops and a restaurant on Talal Street. There are different things to chose from on the menu. There are pizzas but also more traditional food. A pizza with a big bottle of water is 4,5 JD. A meat-dish, taboule, bread and coffee is just over 10 JD. In Friday evenings there is live music. When I was there people started do dance to the music. Hani Ali by naruto Hani Ali is situated in Aqaba on Raghadan Street, about five minutes walk from the Alcazar Hotel where I was staying. It sells traditional sweets, pastries and the ice cream is very delicious. You can say it's a sugar-addict paradise. :) While I had only ice cream, I noticed on the menu that they also have pasta and fish. Breakfast cost about 1-2 JD, very reasonably priced, and the good location is also a good place for afternoon tea where you can people-watch.
Ice cream! The traditional Oriental and Arabian sweets on display look luscious and tempting as well! Leave a Comment Theme: Middle EasternPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Raghadan StreetPhone: 2015200
