Great ambience, great service good prices, great bar near by to continue the evening, it has been awarded the best in Amman for 3 consecutive years (i think) and it is definitely worth a visit. Tabouleh salad, yiaortlou kebab, homos, most dishes were really good.
16 JD for the full buffet or 6 JD for soup and salad. 4JD for a giant Amstel beer.The soup and salad buffet is by far the better deal as the mains and desserts were only average. Great breads and salads.
Very uncultural I know but Pizza Hut in Aquba was the best meal I had in Jordan (Sorry). Its not always easy being a veggie in the Middle East. I usually lived on banana or tomato in Pitta!Although Falafal is always a wonderful & cheap meal. Salad & Vegetable Pizza
Two Jordanian delicacies are:Mansaf(pictured) - lamb, seasoned with aromatic herbs and cooked in jameed (dried yoghurt), served with huge quantities of rice.Stuffed Basby Lamb - roasted lamb, stuffed with rice, chopped onions, nuts (pistachio and almonds) and raisina.
The restaurant is part of an old building. There are also souvenir shops, a traditional spice shop and more. The nicest local dishes you can imagine! Wonderful buffet with traditional Arabian food. I loved most a dessert called "Umm Ali" "Ali's Aunt". That is a hot cake with raisins and a nice sauce. Delicious!!!!
Before we left Rum village for the desertsafari in Wadi Rum we bought chickens for dinner. I will not tell you how the chicken feathers were taken off, but it was not by hand (at least the chickens were dead before).In the evening the meal tasted very good!
We went with my Cousin Rani to have a good hiking at night and we stopped on Lebnani Snacks.it was a lovely place and the serving level was really good and we had really tasty Fish Sandwiches with fresh Orange Juice!
If you are a visitor at the Spa Hotel just for swimming you can only eat at the restaurant by the lower pool (the restaurant by the upper pool is just for guests at the hotel).It is not bad though. The view over the Dead Sea is nice and the sandwiches good.A chickensandwich and 7-up is 5 JD.
There are many great eateries in Aquaba wether it be fresh juice and shwarma or one of the more upmarket cafes. We had a night out at a seafood place where the meal was superb, candlelit tables and a view to the sea accompanied the fantastic meal. Fish
Buy a fresh fuit juice of your own choise at one of the juice stands/cafés around in Jordan. The picture is from Ar-Razi Street in Aqaba.Chose your favourite fruit or mix of fruits:orange, mango, lemon, banana, melon, apple, strawberry etc.It is very delicious!
