When you think of nightlife in Kuwait than you MUST forget what nighlife means in non muslim world! You can go out for a shisha (water pipe) and have a coke or even Mecca Coke. You can enjoy some nice cocktails. In Kuwait a cocktail is made of fresh fruit juice and ice cream but no alchohol in it!

    Nightlife In Kuwait

In Kuwait there are no pubs or bars or dancing clubs. Alcohol is not permited in this country because of religious beliefs. I was warned that my trip would be really bad because of this fact, but i found out if hadnt affected me. I found other ways to entertain myself like all Kuwaitis. I suggest going to a restraunt or the movies. The Cinema in Kuwait is getting better and getting movies at the same time there being premired. While i was in Kuwait a Kuwaiti friend invited me to a wedding which was very entertaining. You get to dress up and dance. Many places in kuwait have events to entertain guests like music launch parties in the evening or hotels having events for their guests. Dancing, Dinners,Black and White Parties and So on.

Nightlife isnt really found in Kuwait but to help yourself not be affected by this detail try to do most things in the evening =P Shopping, Go eating out, Movies,Etc..
Im not sure if my tip is helpful but hopefully it isnt useless..

you can go shopping or eating in any of the good restaurant there which are located by the gulf. no hard drinks is available in public, but there is another life there full of private parties where you can have all kind of drinks and girls .. just get close to the right person. private party might cost you around KD 15 which around $60.

Dress Code: all casual cloth are accepted there, even locals they do not were the tradetional dress unless they are in an offecial business trip. all security guard are locals as they are the only one who can control the locals ... that's true.

There is no alcohol allowed in Kuwait but you can still have a great time and enjoy a good meal and nice coffee with friends and take in the middle east which is amazing and so different from the world I know.

Dress Code: Dress discreetly at all times if you dont you will get unwanted attention.

  • Friday's: Kuwait Nightlife

I have been travelling to the Middle East for many years, to Kuwait every some weeks. In fact everything is available, but hidden. I saw all kind of liquor from wine over beer to whiskey on private parties, somethimes through connections to US Army or other sources. There are private parties, a lot. But as I am a not drinking any alcohol I do not care. I do not recommend to drink as it is forbidden and to avoid trouble leave it for other destinations. Kuwaitis are quite nice people, friendly and helpful. Funny is the Restaurant Friday's but very loud, fantastic filet steaks there and cheesecake. One Restaurant called Fishmarket (do not know the Arab name) not inside a Hotel is great, you can choose your fish or seafood and chief is preparing according to your wishes (Aks at Hotel Reception or Locals for Adress). At Avenue's, a big Mall, you can find the Cheescake Factory, which is a fancy place to go, various dishes from fingerfood to cheesecakes. In general Restaurants are very clean, staff friendly, therefore you can enjoy going out.

Dress Code: casual at most places but according to the fact you are visiting an islamic country, show respect.
