  • Eat like the locals!

If you are going to visit a foreign country, why not enjoy the foods the locals eat. In Frankfurt have a schnitzel; in Seoul eat bulgogi, in Japan try soba; in Kuwait enjoy...goats head???My friend said he was wondering if he should eat the chicken legs with his hands. But after he saw the Sheik pull the goat’s lips off and swallow them down, he...

  • Don't forget your free ship's nail

This is a unique restaurant in design, location, theme and format. It is located inside the SAS Radisson complex which like many other high end hotels in Kuwait has an armed security force and vehicle inspection before you enter. Once you park your massive American made SUV in the parking spots made for a Suzuki Jeep you walk a 100 meters or so...

  • Best Indian in Town

The atmosphere is nice. It is quiet and less crowded than Aysha's (which is located in the Avenues). Its more authentic than the atmosphere at Aysha's which is more trendy and you have to wait forever. They have a doorman dressed in what I assume is authentic Indian garb to great you. The service is always good. I can't think of a time we have ever...

  • CAESARS RESTAURANT: Greasy and Floury

It is an Indian/Chinese/Arabic/Continental cuisine, has many branches of restaurants and confectioneries in Kuwait. Few of the branches were vegetarian restaurants before. It has good and clean atmosphere within the neighborhood. I went to dine in for several times, tried some new menus but I could not get the real good taste. The food is mostly...

  • Good Local Food

I wish I could tell you the name, the address or what we ate. We just know it was pretty darn good and cheap. 3 ate for $9.00! See? You don't have to eat at Subway or Applebees or McDonalds while in Kuwait. Find a Local Eatery! We ordered chicken with potatoes plus hummos, meat pies & warm pita. Man, this place rocked. Everyone was polite and nice...

  • Lebanese Food on the Waterfront

The best Lebanese food in Kuwait can be found at Burj al-Hamam restaurant, and I would even say it's the best restaurant in Kuwait. It is located on the waterfront with panoramic views of the Gulf waters. When you are in Kuwait, like any other arab countries, try to eat shawarma!! It will be like a sandwich, with the marinated chicken or motton filling, cut into small pieces. Get shawarma with arabic koobus dough (like tortilla). The shawarma kinda like burrito. Try some of the shawarma stand and decide which one best for your taste. The great...

  • Not As Great As I Thought

With `more expensive than average` price range they charge in this restaurant, someway I was not really satisfied. The serving time is longer. We were waiting for around 30 minutes from the order time to meal serving time. The choices of salad are more to the raw vegetables and fruit with the arabic dressing. The steak we ordered is not tasty and...

  • Kuwait is a paradise for fastfood lovers

Fast food can be found anywhere in Kuwait, even in the desert! Kuwaities love fast food more than Americans do. In fact, that is a new trend for their teens. The overweight teens rate is increasing here. I was surprised to see a mom feed her child (apparently under 2years old) with the fries in a fast food restaurant! Fast food stands will be...

  • Ho Hummmm

Pretty, stylish, but lacking flavor.... They favor small portions of pasta, most cooked in a bland cream sauce. To escape this, I tried the Pasta Pomodoro hoping for some flavor bursts....nope. It's really difficult to make tomatoes have no taste, but not here.....The one dish served with "sausage" is perhaps their best, but suffers from local...

  • FORGET THIS ONE

Forget about it.... I tried it on a very un-busy Tuesday with only 3 or 4 other tables in service. Still, I was given water, and waited for 12 minutes by the clock for my waiter who I could see was bs-ing on the phone near the entry. And the water, which claimed to be Evain for 1KD was decidedly not. The bottle was served with the cap already loose,...
