    Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah Stadium

    by Ewingjr98 Updated Apr 7, 2012

Next door to Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium is Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah Stadium. Much smaller and less elaborate then its neighbor, Ali Subah Al-Salem Stadium seats only 10,000 and is used primarily for soccer. Al Naser Sporting Club of the Kuwaiti Premier League calls this facility home.

    Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium

    by Ewingjr98 Written Apr 7, 2012

Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium is located along Sixth Ring Road in Kuwait City near the airport. The 68,000 seat sports venue was completed in 2009, and is used primarily for track and field and soccer / football / futbool or whatever you people want to call it. The initial contract was about 190 million USD, but there were some delays in construction postponing completion until about 2009. In 2010 some structural problems were discovered, again halting the inaugural ceremonies the facility until they could be repaired in late 2010.

Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium is the new home of the Kuwait national football team.

The stadium is named after Jaber III al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the the Emir and thirteenth Sheikh of Kuwait. He served in this capacity from December 31, 1977 until his death on January 15, 2006, including the time of the Iraq occupation. During the war he ran the Kuwait government in exile from a hotel in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There are a "few" Equestrian Clubs in Kuwait, where it is possible to rent a horse. Some of them are quite big, and stable around 100 horses where some of them are private owned... The one I visited (cant remember the name sorry), there was a realxed atomospher, and people were extremely nice and helpful...

Equipment: if you are just going to see the club and no riding, you dont need anything of course, but if you want to ride, make sure you have some suitable clothes on or with you...

Two riders from the club I visited
