Paddy's: The Irish Pub in Downtown Beirut!
This is such a cosy pub/restuarant...its the place to go if you feel like spending time in a small pub that offers stout, ale, lager and irish whisky and a nice crowd. It serves Irish cuisine, yummy fish & chips and some international cuisine. The staff and waiters are extremely friendly, and its such a nice place to hang out at.

Its also got excellent prices! A meal can be around 10,000 LBP (around 6 USD) to 30 USD. A pint of ale is around 6 USD as well.

    Anything goes.

    Paddy's Irish Pub: Irish Pub
A small, cosy, friendly pub situated in the center of Beirut's nightlife district. As of yesterday (11 August 2006) it was still there and in one piece. A place worth visiting for the excellent beer and Whiskey selection. It can become boisterous later in the evening but in a fun way. The staff are friendly, and not just because they have been told to 'smile for the customers'. The food is international and excellent- try the fish-'n'-chips

    Casual

    RAI: Moroccan terror!!!
Situated in Mono Street, Achrafieh, Beirut's most popular entertainment centre, Rai is one of many night clubs you can walk into.
I sadly was invited there for a birthday party, and the nightmare started, my friends invited me and literally DRAGGED me there over an over.
The place is a DUMP, cramped, and the music SUCKS BIG TIME!!! The dj seriously needs music updates...please anything from this decade. when a dj repeats a song more than three times a night, you know there is something wrong!!!
The Moroccan theme in RAI is evident in every aspect of the decor, however it stops there. you wonder whey this theme was chosen when its totally not...club like. its more like a Morrocan restuarant ( or better cafe) than a club.

I vowed never to set step in that dump that is filled with nothing but whores and drunks.

If ur a female....less is better
If ur a male.......just have female on ur hand and ur in.

    just dress casual

Rue Gouraud: More popular than rue Monot
Rue Gouraud in Gemmayzé neighbourhood is full of bars and late night restaurants. This long narrow street has taken over rue Monot as the most popular hang out at night. The street stretches east from downtown Beirut and Saifi Village.

The décor in all its aspects creates a warm and exotic interior, defined through its distinctive furnishings, fabrics, and soft lighting.Punctuated by alcoves, the setting provides a variety of intimate seating areas in which to lounge comfortably and/or dine, while listening to European DJ music, modern Arabic songs, Oriental Jazz, Moroccan and Algerian rhythms, and live bands performing international music and traditional Arabic Tarab.

    Sky Bar: Under the Stars
Make your way to Sky Bar which is located on the rooftop of Palm Beach Hotel in Hamra District for some people-watching and to sample its stunning view of Beirut.
The restaurant-bar is split into two levels, both are open-roofed and up top, you can see great views of Beirut. The music is lounge-style electronica and mellows down in the evenings.

Smart casual dress. Jeans are acceptable.
