Phoenicians' statues.LEBANON by nadina There are a number of Lebanese gift shops scattered around the country which stock locally produced art such as jewelry, vases, pots, glass items, wooden crafts and silverware. These shops are a must for any visitor.

As well as all the beautiful nuts, pastries, sweetmeats, etc, you'll find a wide range of mezze items, za'atar and other spices, olives and olive oil, pomegranate molasses and other condiments, a veritable feast. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Airside - Beirut airport

Arax Street in Borj Hammoud by MalenaN Borj Hammoud is an area in east Beirut, just east of Beirut River. There are a lot of clothes shops (not too expensive) around Arax Street and Armenia Street. There are also many shops selling gold. As many people living in Borj Hammoud are of Armenian origin you will see some shops with signs in Armenian. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Music I bought by MalenaN At this huge store you find different things on different floors. In the basement you find the cameras, computers etc. On the fist floor you have books, magazines, maps and video films and most are in English. On the second floor you have the music department with a lot of CDs by Lebanese artists and from other countries. Around the walls there are many headphones and you can listen to any CD you want. The store is opened until midnight. Leave a Comment Theme: MusicDirections: On the west side of Place des Martyrs.

These two shopping malls stand face to face on Verdun Street. This area has long been known to have high-end stores and is an area for massive shopping and beauty care (hair, nails, etc.). The malls were named according to their corresponding cadastral number..in any case, you will find many stores here, from: Bershka to Swatch, mothercare to adidas, The Body Shop to Tiffany's, etc.. Also, very close to this area are stores like Mango, Kookai, etc.. There are also coffeeshops and restaurants like: Starbucks and Le Pain Quotidien, ...
Whatever your heart desires...I usually go to: - Pull and Bear - Bershka - Massimo Dutti - Accessorize - Adidas - The Body Shop - Mango (which is very nearby) - Le Pain Quotidien Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Verdun StreetDirections: Ask anyone you can't miss

Yes, there are many Virgin Megastores in the world, but what makes the Beirut one special is that it is trilingual (Arabic, French and English) reflecting the local culture.
Arabic, French and English music CDs, DVDs and books. Many books on local culture and history. Also a great outlet for new local music exhibiting western and eastern influences. Upon my visit in March 2008, the Megastore was still in existence despite recent turmoil, though it was markedly less crowded than it was on previous visits.
Everything is priced in US dollars. Theme: MusicAddress: Place des Martyrs at the edge of Solidere

This is a mall that opened up recently in the Achrafieh area in Beirut. This mall houses many stores (mid-range to high), restaurants and cafe's, and movie theaters. This is the largest mall in Beirut, and it offers free parking. You can spend a nice day here between shopping for gifts, make-up, clothes, house-supplies and then having a nice lunch, then perhaps going to watch a movie. Or you can simply choose to go there for coffee and just enjoy the passers by..
Anything and everything that you like. Some shops I often go to are: - Vanilian (Furniture and house supplies) - this place is so funky and has original stuff to check out even if you dont want to buy anything. - Lancel - always great place to buy a gift for a friend. - Maria Pino - love the shoes! - The Apple shop - although Lebanon is more expensive than any other place I know when it comes to this lol - Accessorize - nice accessories and I often get my lil niece gifts from there. - Aishti - If you want to splurge or spend spend spend on some Dior sunglasses or a Prada place this is the place to be. ..... aaah the list is really endless...
No bargaining here...You pay whatever the tag says you should pay ;-) Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: AchrafiehPhone: (01) 21 11 19Directions: Ask ANYONE - There's an entrance right next to Sassine Street
