As Beirut is coming out of the war, Beirut's inhabitants are coming out of their homes - and they are heading for the al-Aswaq area - or else downtown. This area was the first one to be renovated - and it's now lined wit expensive boutiques, bars, pubs, restaurants, clubs. Everyone seem to meet there at night to enjoy a chat, a dinner, a few drinks, a nargileh. It's buzzing! Lebanese people dress up smartly when they go out, so try to do the same. And don't worry about dress codes: miniskirts are quite popular in this area.

Beirut is known as a party city, and it sure deserves its fame, infact it is simply full of night clubs, discos, pubs, bars and whatever you may look for, the place I would reccomend is the bar, restaurant, dancing hall, on the lighthouse, it is these things all together, you can eat, drink, smoke pipe, dance or relax on the beach while a cool local band plays arab and western songs. Whatever.

Very nice. Away from the down town and all it's crowdiness. Here you can still enjoy all the atmosphere of being in a night club. It's pretty much, very much, absolutely the same of an European-American (or call it whatever) night club! You can have a table or sit on a bar... Interesting in this club, they had a 2nd floor where you can have a view at the dance area. Cool, mahek? Well It's all about being Lebanese! A shirt and pants are strongly advised. Lebanese women [like all women :-)] appreciate when a guy is neat, dressed appropriatly, and here goes the list...

What used to be Atlantis(with live piranhas and baby crocodiles inside the tables protected by a glass block, serving as a dance podium by va va voom Lebanese girls). Now Le Nabab with haughty servers, a packed crowd, beautiful people and a manic energy. Definitely go Lebanese on this. Smart casual wear. Would probably be denied entry otherwise
The night for making a visit to this place is much better from the day time,Because to simply the sun will disturb you to have a look from up there,So do what we did, we went at the sunset and stayed there till the evening! This is the best time.

This is the statue of Virgin Mary, in the highest point of the mountain, a great place for the mother of God to protect the city of Beirut.I climbed the steps and reached the pick. And just take a look from there!

Those lovely lights shine's so bright! And all people have great times walking and hiking all across the beach side! Its almost a real jam with all the crowds walking here and there! But in the Summer time this is the best you can do in Beirut at night!

It depends on season, anyways there are a lot of night clubs, theater, cinemas, beach party...or the CASINO DU LUBAN (15 minutes from Beirut) Lebaneses are so elegants, but you can dress whatever you want, short, pants, evening dress for the night....
RUE MONOT ASHRAFIEH: where you can find a lot of restaurants and pubs.KASLIK- JOUNIEH: Many nightclubs to choose from.MAAMELTEIN- JOUNIEH: Red District. Casual for most places, except for Maameltein (red district)here; it is up to you!!
